Introduction and Meaning:

In terms of digital audio, a signal processor is a device that does the job of modifying an audio signal, both digital and electric. It could be a computer software or a component of electronic hardware. A simple example of a signal processor is a high-pass filter, which helps in eliminating low frequencies from any given signal.
If they are carefully used, they may contribute to the sound fidelity, and can sometimes better reality.

Sound was used to suggest emotion, replicate mood and highlight action in dances and plays even in prehistoric times. During those times, humans didn’t enjoy the privilege of sound reinforcement systems. But the idea of producing sound effects always existed. For example; there existed a form of theatre in the medieval times, known as Commedia dell’arte.

Usually, an amplifier is any device that changes or affects change on the amplitude of any given signal. The relation of the input and the output of the amplifier (generally termed as the function of an input frequency) is known as the transfer function of an amplifier. The unit of the transfer function is known as the gain. In terms of audio appliances, an amplifier drives the loud speakers that are used in the PA systems to play music or magnify the human voice.
